one week until hunters come

One more week of scouting and placing stands and then the hunters come. We have been setting up in some tight spots around scapes and on some travel routes, as the bucks are still showing up out in the open fields at night. (mostly in poor light) It shows that the pre-rut is on and things only get better from here on. Hopefully our "ambush spots" will work out as there have been some good large buck sign in those areas.

That's the exciting part, when the trigger is pulled and all the hard work of setting up is rewarded. A guy can get so full of anticipation , it is hard to sleep at nite. If the picture on the cameras are any indicators, they should see some elk, as they sure were posing for the camera.
